I have always been around boats, from a Saturday job looking after a 36' Moonraker motor yacht whilst still at school, through working as a Marine Engineer on Super Tankers to a period as a professional yacht skipper. I have also enjoyed racing both yachts and power boats, jet skiing and am a B.S.A.C. qualified diver.
On the work front, amongst many other things, I have managed an electrical component manufacturing company and my own successful business for 10 years, and so on to Yacht Brokerage on the beautiful tropical Island of Phuket, the first Boatshed Yacht Brokerage in Thailand or indeed Asia
Boating in Thailand has really taken off since the reduction of taxes on the importation of boats from triple digits to just 7% VAT and Phuket has become the premiere yachting destination in Asia, hosting the annual "Kings Cup Regatta".
There are now four Marinas on Phuket Island, the "Yacht Haven Marina" at the north of Phuket, the new "Ao Po Grand Marina", the "Royal Phuket Marina" and the " Phuket Boat Lagoon", in addition there are the anchorages at Chalong Bay and Ao Yon used by cruising yachts.

My interest in becoming a Boatshed Yacht Broker developed when I came across the Company whilst looking for a Yacht on the internet. I liked the idea of a global network, but with each office owner operated and thus committed to customer service and getting boats sold.
