Originally designed and built as a Custom designed as a military patrol gunboat (P21 Class). Designed by Thornycroft and built by Cygnus Marine she is a really tough aluminium twin screw motor yacht reported to have been constructed to meet Lloyds Register requirements for military or patrol boats. The vessel is hard chined with a secondary chine doubling as a lifting strake. The superstructure is of welded aluminium construction and consists of the main deck house, raised coachroof on fore deck and upper bulwark wings and front enclosure of the flybridge. Nowadays it would cost approximately £800,000 to reproduce. Upon discontinuance of the original purpose of build and before entering service, she was fitted out as a yacht.
A survey from 2008 was very complimentary about the hull and valued the boat at around £400,000. The surveyor commented in 2008 that the hull and superstructure appeared to be in generally sound condition.
The vessel still looks good, however the flybridge helm does need some attention. Also much of the Navigational gear would need replacing.

Broker's Comments
These boat details are subject to contract.
This imposing Patrol boat never actually got to carry out its military service and was therefore fitted out as a yacht by her interesting owner. She has a real ships personality and currently makes a spacious vessel to live aboard. She could easily be utilised as a working boat again too. The surveyor from 2008 noted that she was a really well constructed vessel as you would expect given her original remit.
I thought the interior fit out was really in keeping with the spirit of this vessel but you may have other ideas. She is really good value for money as well. There are many technical plans for the concept of this vessel and her sistership. If you are a boat enthusiast or interested in her commercial potential then you must consider this vessel if she is in your budget. I think she is great.
