This weekend Stone Sailing Club is hosting the Essex Sailing Championships. The club is located at St. Lawrence Bay near Southminster. At Boatshed Essex we always have a selection of sail boats for sale to suit all tastes and budgets.

Stone Sailing Club is run by and for its members aiming to promote and facilitate amateur yacht and dinghy racing and boat sailing, rowing and canoeing. There are opportunities for tuition and practice of the art of seamanship. Families are more than welcome and there are plenty of social facilities and events for members.

The first race this weekend will be the 2.30pm Stone Challenge Race. Saturday night there is a hog roast, a quiz and music, and on Sunday there will be a Pimms party and live band. There’s free camping and shower facilities, and food available from the galley all day.

There are more details available on their website. Stone Sailing Club.
