Everyone turned out in great British spirit to watch the celebrations of the day. With historic and modern yachts from sail to steam, RNLI boats to Ambulance boats from Guernsey, Narrowboats, Barges and the fast modern day Clipper ferries, rowing power, rain and many umbrellas.

This was a once in a life time experience, enjoyed by millions, the crowds gathered around London bridge to see story of boats from early rowing and sailing boats, to steam boats and the modern fast cats we use today as ferries.

Boats from all over the UK were invited to take part in this special celebration.

Many of these boats are active working boats, the Guernsey Ambulance boat was having its last polish a couple of days before the celebrations in Guernsey, left to go to London and then is back on call in St Peter Port Harbour on its mooring.

The little Dunkirk ships made their way proudly down the Thames, and the colourfully painted traditional Narrowboats.
The Tug boat fleet was powering through the Thames water passing the square rigger all dress over.

This pageant securing the nation as a powerful sailing nation.
