Just listed, this Seaway "K one 45" power cat looks to be in excellent condition, She is very economical achieving fuel consumption figures of just 50L per hour at 17 Knots on twin Volvo drive IPS engines that have recorded only 500 Hrs each, and of course the IPS system with joystick control makes maneuvering a breeze. She is well equipped and has four double cabins, air conditioning generator and inverter, plus a new dinghy and outboard. Ready for High Season !
OK she will need a little work, she was built by Scandi Yachts Ltd in Finland, under the supervision of a foreman previously employed by Swan Nautor and constructed using all the same quality fixtures & fittings.
Just reduced by 20,000 US$ this is a must see for anybody looking for a well cared for well equipped ocean capable yacht. First launched in June 1991 this Robert Dufour designed double ender is a proven, strong, cruising yacht with Airex composite construction ( Just look at the core samples ) and over sized rigging, she has visited 35 countries and covered 60,000 nautical miles. Well equipped and surprisingly roomy below her pilot house design provides for steering in the dry ( 2 x independent steering systems ) when conditions become unpleasant . 3 coats of epoxy were applied before launch in 1991 she spends 6 months each year on the hard. Neige d’ete is a first generation Corbin, what is probably referred to as MK1, but it was modified to correct the known weather helm by adding a half meter bow sprit that did not need a bob stay (the MK 2 has a one meter bow sprit). Also, the keel was extended to join the rudder skeg (about 20 years ago in Florida, USA). The double modification gave the correction needed for a better windward performance and reduced the weather helm found in the first generation. It also reinforced the rudder skeg and as a benefit eliminated the problem of catching fishing lines in the prop.

Boatshed Brixham are delighted to offer for sale an exceptional Redbay Stormforce 11.
If you love Moody, Bavaria, Jeanneau or Beneteau sail boats then this love affair could be doing the world an ecological favour. If your boat is powered by wind energy you can be proud that your boating is an earth-friendly eco-activity. You will of course use fuel when there is no wind, when heading into the wind or when navigating narrow channels but your sail boat will use far less fuel than a powerboat.
A new year and new challenges.
Back in 1946 boat builders J&G Forbes of Sandhaven in Scotland built a sturdy 53’ fishing vessel named Capella. She was taken south to work the fishing grounds off the Devon and Cornish coasts. Many years later she was converted to a SCUBA diving vessel but when the business fell on hard times she was purchased by a new owner in 1994 who fell in love with her and decided to spend the next few years and quite a few pennies restoring and converting her to a lovely live-aboard motor cruiser, now named McAlister.
Boatshed Brixham are delighted to offer for sale a well-presented Jeanneau 40DS. The 40DS, like her slightly larger 43DS, is extremely spacious and the three cabin and two heads layout makes excellent use of space especially for the larger family where the children for example, might prefer their own cabin.
